Montblancs eerste sportieve duikhorloge, de Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date, heeft een wijzerplaat met een ‘gletsjer’-motief dat de indruk geeft dat je in de diepte van een gletsjer kijkt. Deze blauwe wijzerplaat met een ‘gletsjer’-motief is ge\u00efnspireerd op de Mer de Glace (Zee van IJs), de belangrijkste gletsjer van het Mont Blanc-massief. De textuur werd verkregen met behulp van een bijna vergeten voorouderlijke techniek genaamd gratt\u00e9-bois\u00e9. Het horloge heeft een unidirectionele tweekleurige keramische lunette, een gegraveerde achterkant van de horlogekast en een verwisselbare blauwe rubberen band met fijnafstelling. Het horloge voldoet aan de ISO 6425-norm voor duikhorloges en is waterbestendig tot 300 meter.<\/div>\n
