he Montblanc Star Legacy line draws inspiration from Minerva’s heritage and its pocket watches made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum takes inspiration from the Latin word Orbis Terrarum, meaning “globe,” “Earth,” or “world.” This timepiece is powered by automatic movement with manufacture complication. The goal is to propose a universal time function that is intuitively readable and easy to set, without making any compromise on aesthetic elegance. Once set, the function will show the time of the 24 time zones simultaneously, specifying whether it is day or night time for each of the cities indicated. With just one button, this timepiece is easy to set even on the go. The dial consists of a rotating sapphire crystal upper disc, which features a three-dimensional rhodium-finished map of the Northern Hemisphere with meridians, framed by a ring showing the 24 cities and their respective time zones. Below this sapphire disk appears an additional day/night disk that rotates in 24 hours alternating between blue for daylight hours and blue for night hours. The city and local time related to the owner’s location are indicated by a red arrow located at 12 o’clock. This model features a 43mm polished fine steel case with satin finish on the sides.
