The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel Around the World in 80 Days. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds, and the cone is engraved with a motif inspired by Princess Auda’s jewels and card suits, representing Fogg’s bet to make the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap features embossing of the duration of the trip, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is complemented by a handmade 14K gold nib, decorated with a hot air balloon and bearing the dates 20/10 and 14/11: Fogg does, in fact, leave Bombay on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. and Yokohama on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
