he Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel Around the World in 80 Days. The Doué Classique fountain pen with gold-finish metal cap and dégradé anthracite lacquer body draws inspiration from the second leg of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. In this second adventurous stage. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds, and the cone is engraved with a motif inspired by Princess Auda’s jewels and card suits, representing Fogg’s bet to make the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap features embossing of the duration of the trip, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is complemented by a handmade 18K gold nib, decorated with a hot air balloon and bearing the dates 20/10 and 14/11: Fogg does, in fact, leave Bombay on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. and Yokohama on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
