The Montblanc 1858 line draws inspiration from the legendary Minerva professional watches of the 1920s and 1930s, designed for military use and exploration. Reinterpreting these historic models, Montblanc 1858 expresses the spirit of alpine hiking, embodying the modern trend of returning to nature. The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere is dedicated to the “Seven Summits” world mountaineering challenge, the “Holy Grail” of mountain hiking. It features a 42mm fine steel case combined with contrasting black and beige details. The timepiece is equipped with an in-house universal time complication developed by Montblanc watchmakers in Villeret: two domed globes that rotate in opposite directions, accomplishing a complete evolution in 24 hours. Both are surrounded by a scale with the 24 time zones, along with a day/night display with contrasting colors that allows for better appreciation of the various time zones, thanks to luminescent continents, which ensures greater visibility and better performance in the dark. The timepiece is complemented by a vintage technical bracelet in fine steel.
